We partnered with Street Child of Nepal (SCoN) to co-host ‘Bikalpa’, a “Dialogues & Documentary Screening” event, centered around Alternatives to Child, Early and Forced Marriage (CEFM). The event was hosted in the atrium of the British Council, Lainchaur, on October 10, 2023. The event was broken down into three parts: a brief discussion on the advocacy paper being prepared on the topic by SCoN, a panel discussion on Child Marriage in Nepal and a documentary screening prepared by SCoN. The documentary revolves around the issue of CEFM among young girls in the most marginalized community of Nepal, the musahar community of the Terai Region. It was an invite only event, with a majority of the guests being from the development and policy research sectors.
