Global Shapers Kathmandu Hub is part of the Global Shapers Community, an initiative of the World Economic Forum

One must be between 18 and 27 years ( from 18 and up to 27 years, 265 days) to apply. Note you still need to be 27 by the time your probationary period is completed or by 1 November 2024.

New members pay a fee of Rs. 25,000 for their first year and from the following year an annual fee of Rs. 15,000.
The membership fee covers hub meetings, admin expenses, and supporting hub initiatives. Read more about the usage of hub funds in our hub charter.
Yes, you can start a new project as a new member of a team you formed, and the idea has to be aligned to the principle of I-SHAPE (Inclusion, Skills, Health, Aid, Planet and Engagement). One cannot start new projects during the probationary phase. There is also an internal process for development and approval of new projects.
The projects are sponsored based on the membership fee we contributed, and the team can apply for projects to receive grants from other organizations or could do a cross-hub collaboration for projects as well.

You develop your leadership potential by engaging in national, regional and international initiatives. You have access to a community of like-minded peers. You get a safe space to experiment and explore your interest and creativity in a way that creates impact.
There are currently a total of 31 active members in the hub.
No, this is not a full-time responsibility.
There is a minimum attendance requirement for hub meetings, and you are expected to actively participate in hub socials. There can be special provisions for those who are on probation.
