The Shape Talk initiative brings together diverse experts and thought leaders for panel discussions, aiming to educate audience members about relevant community topics. These sessions explore fields ranging from the Fourth Industrial Revolution and Education to Entrepreneurship, Menstrual Health, and Patriarchy. Shape Talk serves as a platform where current issues and trends are discussed among active stakeholders, leading to a better-informed community.

Key events include:

  1. June 29, 2018: The inaugural event focused on the Fourth Industrial Revolution, technological advancements, and potential data security threats in Nepal’s entrepreneurial community. It attracted over 90 attendees.
  2. February 4, 2019: “Rite of Passage” addressed menstrual taboos. Four short films on menstruation were screened, followed by a panel discussion with filmmakers and activists. Over 400 participants, including students from various Kathmandu valley schools, attended.
  3. November 2019: This event highlighted the need for innovative business ideas and agile governance. Entrepreneurs and investors shared their experiences operating businesses in Nepal.
  4. Post-COVID-19: Events moved to a virtual platform. The first online session focused on digital citizenship and creating safe online environments.
  5. June 4, 2021: “Reassessing Patriarchy” examined cultural norms that create unequal living experiences, emphasizing that equity and inclusion are human rights, regardless of gender, sexuality, or other criteria. Over 30 participants attended.
