Manka Kuraharu was a podcast dedicated to discussing the multifaceted world of mental health and well-being from a variety of angles and perspectives. The podcast aimed to offer listeners a comprehensive exploration of these topics, covering various issues and viewpoints. With its commitment to presenting diverse perspectives on mental health and well-being, the podcast included discussions with experts in psychology, psychiatry, and counseling, as well as individuals with lived experiences of mental illness or personal journeys of self-discovery and growth.
As a part of this project, we recorded and published six episodes.
To inaugurate the podcast, we started by reflecting on personal lockdown experiences and the lessons learned, setting the stage for a diverse and introspective journey into well-being.
We confronted the pervasive stress young people in Nepal face regarding the complex issue of marriage, shedding light on its impact on mental well-being.
We delved into the impact of patriarchal norms on women’s mental health, spotlighting the heavy burdens they endure within societal expectations
We discussed the major dilemma young people face these days- should they opt for a job or start their own business?
We highlighted the disparities seen in the world of mental health through various intersectional lenses for Mental Health Day 2021 where the theme was Mental Health in an Unequal World.
